Youth Program Coordinator

Position:  Program Coordinator (Part-time position)
Reports directly to:  Executive Director
 
Job Summary: Plan, direct, coordinate and promote youth development through the implementation of a teen television talk show. Interpret faith-based program services to public and maintains cooperative planning and working relationships with allied public and volunteer agencies.
 
Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate HYPE youth performing arts group

  • Provide direction and leadership for all Youth Ambassadors to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the program’s evaluation consultant to monitor and ensure that the evaluation process appropriately reflects program activities, and adheres to the grant requirements.
  • Seek and coordinate all youth development training for HIV, STI’s, journalism for mass media, and performance
  • Ensure back-up receipts for all program expenses are accounted for Maintains a schedule of grant report deadlines and prepares narrative and statistical program reports Coordinates and collaborates with COMBAT, local congregations, AIDS Service Organizations and community based organizations.

Update CCON website with program activities, in collaboration with Program Director and Executive Director:
Provide input and commitment to overall agency / organizational goals and mission.

Monitor program budget and expenditures

  • Coordinate with various departments within the Church, community resources, and grant partners.
  • Develop strategies to improve linkages between church partners and other agencies providing youth development programming and services.


Minimum Requirements

A. Education

  • An undergraduate degree or graduate student preferred. 
  • Experience Hold certification in HIV/AIDS Prevention or  be willing to attain that while in employment .
  • Understand youth development or be willing to attend trainings while in employment
  • Demonstrated experience in working with families in urban and program settings
  • At least 3 –5 years experience in program management with knowledge of multi-task functions preferred.
  • Some knowledge of outcome management and evaluation methodology
  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination of collaborative activities.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Salary Range: Up to $29,999
