About Us

Connecting For Good has been bridging the Digital Divide since 2011 using wireless Internet, community technology centers, low cost refurbished PCs and free digital life skills classes. Our main programs are:

A) Free and Low Cost Internet Access for Low Income Families and Nonprofit Organizations - We build free Wi-Fi networks in low income housing facilities and provide a $10 a month Internet subscription program.
B) Inexpensive Internet-ready Refurbished Computers - We reuse donated PCs and provide it to low income residents and nonprofits at an extremely low price. We offer additional discounts to those who participate in digital literacy training programs.
C) Digital Life Skills Classes - We have developed a curriculum designed to help people in under-resourced communities access online resources and create a brighter future for themselves and their families. Our portable computer lab is in key locations in our targeted communities in order to introduce residents to the online world.
D) Community Technology Centers - Featuring public access computers and free digital and financial training classes.

Connecting For Good's LAMP location at 3210 Michigan Ave, KCMO. At this location we teach digital literacy classes and have an open computer lab to the public.
Connecting For Good acquired the Surplus Exchange in May of 2019. We are currently undergoing renovations but once we are open, we will be taking donated computers and refurbishing them to nonprofit organizations and low income populations. In this space, we will also be doing electronic recyling.
