Essential Families provides crucial services to “below and slightly above poverty families” in a 23-county service area in and around Kansas City.
Essential Families stands apart by:
1. Filling a gap using mental healthcare to provide highly secure Virtual Mental Healthcare, similar to the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) model mental wellness program, for individuals and families. No waiting list.
2. Providing Virtual Parental Education support to households just above the poverty line, a demographic that is too often left behind in government-funded programs. That cohort encompasses a population of nearly 300,000 people just in the Kansas City area alone.
3. Serving as a “Google” like portal for local essential family resources needed to stabilize and sustain families to be productive citizens in their communities.
4. Providing 24/7 virtual ACCESS to children and family needs, such as: Parental Education, Food, Clothing, Shelter, and Mental Healthcare, available on broadband internet in any city, or rural community. Free laptop, and computer training are included.
Essential Families is also on the cutting edge of donor transparency. Through Artificial Intelligence (AI), and extensive relational database, Essential Families provides “real-time” data to donors, funders about how their dollars are being used.
