I've worked with several nonprofits in Kansas City in marketing roles and have served on several boards. During 2020, several of my nonprofit clients pivoted from in-person, offline events that drove revenue and reach to online.
In 2020, I helped triple online sales for one of my nonprofit clients, Project Lydia, and add thousands of new supporters to a Facebook group and email list after another client-hosted several live stream events. Project Lydia is an economic empowerment project for abandoned wives and women in remote villages in Uganda. The project usually depends on trade shows to drive sales, but the pandemic shut down that revenue stream. To increase sales, I implemented a series of partnerships with key influencers who promoted the products on their social media channels and a strategic advertising campaign on Facebook and Instagram. The combination of these efforts skyrocketed sales.
I've worked with the Community Blood Center of Kansas City, and have served on boards with the Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City and First Down for Downs and CinemaKC. I've worked with the KC Social Innovation Center/HIREKC, the International Association of Administrative Professionals, the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association, the Pentecostal Charismatic/Churches of North America, and many other organizations.
