At Bishop Sullivan Center - One City Cafe is a Lifeline
For some, One City Café helps stretch a thin budget until payday.
For others, One City Café is a lifeline.
In Jackson County, 1 in 6 people are considered food insecure - up from 1 in 8 in 2022. To help meet the ever-growing need, One City Café community kitchen provides a warm welcome, a seat at the table, and a free, nutritious meal to all who are hungry.
In June and July alone, we served 16,537 meals to everyone from families with young children, to individuals coming straight off of the bus from work, to neighbors living on the street.
From volunteers, to partnerships, to meal sponsors and food drives, we are so grateful to our Kansas City community for your commitment to making this resource available to our neighbors in need.
Thank you for helping us put food on the table.
