No matter the length of service, board members often feel under-prepared to take on the wide range of new responsibilities when assuming the role of board chair. Board Chair Boot Camp can give you a head start on successfully fulfilling this crucial role.

Participants will leave this session with a solid grasp of skills and behaviors needed to become highly effective in their role as board chairs. The curriculum focuses on these key areas:

The fundamentals of board service, including roles, relationships and skills;
Sound governance practices, board structure, board policy and tasks;
Succession planning and the board chair/executive director relationship.

This is a must-attend opportunity for current and prospective board chairs!

Presenter:

Luann Feehan, President and CEO of Nonprofit Connect
Luann Feehan joined Nonprofit Connect in 2012 as the Executive Director. Luann is a sought-after expert on nonprofit trends and best-practices, and a leading voice in Kansas City's nonprofit community. She has been invited to similar markets across the country to share her knowledge on nonprofit and association programs. Luann is a Certified BoardSource Governance Trainer and DiSC Behavioral Assessment Trainer. She brings over twenty years of experience in leading successful nonprofit teams.
