Grant funding is competitive, and with ever-evolving donor strategies, it's important to know how to find the funding opportunities that are the best fit for you, how to maximize your case for support in every portion of the grant application, and strategies to maximize your time efficiency.
If you're ready to shake off the grant writing dust and reinvigorate your skills, join Xavier Hankins, Chief Development Officer for Literacy KC, for a 3-part workshop. During this series, you will gain practical skills that you can implement right away and have opportunities to workshop and network with other grant writers.
Xavier Hankins is a veteran nonprofit leader, serving in various public service positions, such as the Assistant Director of the K.C.K.H.A. Public Housing Department, as a Community Support Specialist for Wyandotte Mental Health Center, a Grants & Development Manager at G.I.F.T., and currently as the Chief Development Officer at Literacy KC. Xavier is skilled in donor cultivation, special events, corporate & foundation relationships, and grant writing.
In addition to leading the development team at Literacy KC, Xavier is the owner of Innovative Pathways, a company dedicated to helping small businesses in their pursuit of finding sustainable funding, as well as the co-owner of a women's networking group called Brown Sugar Collective that supports women of color in their dream of becoming the best version of themselves.
She holds degrees in Sociology and French as well as a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Kansas.
