The National Council of Jewish Women is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. Locally, NCJW has been working for more than 100 years to impact the greater Kansas City area through diverse programs, community service, and advocacy. Last year, NCJW of Kansas City provided clothing and school supplies to over 400 elementary children, 40 layette baskets for babies, 1200 birthday books to grade school kids, and awarded scholarships to graduating seniors. These are just a few of the many beneficial programs NCJW provides in addition to advocacy, social events, and volunteering within the community. You are sure to find ways to make a difference both locally and nationally. NCJW is open to all religions, races, and genders.
