RFP for Fundraising Feasibility Study

Proposals should be submitted by March 25, 2026, to Wright on Main Board Chair, Jan Marcason, via
03/02/2026 - 03/25/2026

Wright on Main (WOM), the friend group that supports the preservation of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Community Christian Church, is seeking proposals from fundraising consultants to assist with a focused fundraising feasibility study and donor engagement strategy plan. The goal of this study is to assess the philanthropic landscape and help identify key current, prior, and prospective donors for engagement with a capital campaign in support of critical restoration and long-term preservation of the Church, a landmark of 20th century modern architecture and a vital community hub in Kansas City, located at 4601 Main Street. WOM is focused on fundraising at least $320,000 to support immediate repair work, as part of a larger $2 million long-term fundraising goal. In October 2025 WOM was awarded a matching grant from the National Fund for Sacred Places (NFSP). The organization’s goal is to fundraise Phase 1 project targets by Winter 2027, to allow repairs to begin in Spring 2027.
