Community Sew Day
Join us for Community Sewing Day on August 28 from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at The Sewing Labs! Help sew or assemble lap quilts, walker bags, kids’ activity bags, and pillowcases for neighbors served by Volunteer KC, Shawnee PARC, and St. Luke’s. All skill levels are welcome—projects include sewing and simple kit assembly. Materials and guidance are provided at no cost; bring a machine if you’d like. Drop in or stay all day!

Opportunities include organizing donations, office support, quilting, testing or maintaining sewing machines, and sewing community outreach kits. Sewists create activity bags, walker bags, pillowcases, and navigation bags for local partners.
