POSITION SUMMARY: The Development and Community Engagement Coordinator is pivotal in fostering Benilde Hall's growth, sustainability, and community involvement. This multifaceted position blends fundraising, relationship-building, and community outreach to advance our mission and expand Benilde Hall’s impact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Development Strategy: In partnership with the Executive Director, develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals. This involves identifying funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, cultivating donor relationships, and managing fundraising campaigns.
  • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Cultivate new and existing relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic partners. This includes acknowledging donations, regularly updating organizational activities, and organizing donor appreciation events.
  • Community Engagement: Design and execute initiatives within a budget to engage and mobilize the community around our mission. This may involve organizing community events, workshops, and outreach programs to raise awareness and foster collaboration.
  • Marketing and Communication: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, social media campaigns, and press releases to communicate our mission, programs, and impact to the community and stakeholders.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support various organizational activities, events, and campaigns. Ensure volunteers are effectively utilized and feel valued for their contributions.
  • Data Management and Analysis: Using CRM software, such as Bloomerang, maintain accurate records of donors, grants, and fundraising activities. Analyze fundraising data to track progress, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the executive team, board of directors, staff members, and external partners to coordinate efforts, leverage resources, and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Regular travel throughout the region to develop a referral network and community partners.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience

  • Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor-related software.
  • Proficiency in social media utilization: Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram with proven ability to manage and grow social media organically. 
  • Passion for our mission and commitment to making a positive difference in the community.

 
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business administration, related field or equivalent experience.

 Physical Requirements

  • Normal overtime/ extended work hours

  • Valid driver’s license
