Hours: Full-time position
Comp Range: $45,000-$52,000, commensurate with experience
Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the execution of marketing and communications strategies that elevate KCFAA’s mission, expand community engagement, and drive program enrollment, performances, fundraising efforts, and community participation. Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, this role helps bring campaigns to life through compelling storytelling, consistent branding, strong cross-departmental coordination, and strategic social media management. The Marketing Coordinator will help grow KCFAA’s digital presence to increase awareness of programs such as AileyCamp and Summer Dance, promote performances and fundraising events, and deepen engagement with donors, partners, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Coordination

  • Support the rollout of integrated marketing campaigns for KCFAA programs, including AileyCamp, school-based residencies, performances, and special events.
  • Coordinate campaign timelines, assets, and internal communication to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on campaign performance, including attendance, participant reach, and engagement metrics.
Content Development & Storytelling
  • Draft and edit content for email newsletters, social media, website updates, and print materials.
  • Capture and share stories that highlight student impact, teaching artists, and community partnerships.
  • Ensure all content reflects KCFAA’s voice, mission, and brand standards.
Digital Marketing
  • Manage and oversee all KCFAA social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms).
  • Manage day-to-day social media scheduling and posting across platforms, creating and publishing compelling content (graphics, photos, video, and storytelling) that reflects KCFAA’s mission and impact.
  • Support email marketing campaigns, including formatting, segmentation, and distribution.
  • Maintain and update website content, including program pages, event listings, and blog/news updates.
Program & Development Support
  • Provide marketing support for performances, donor events, and community engagements (collateral, signage, digital promotion).
  • Assist with on-site marketing needs during events as required.
  • Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts by promoting campaigns, recognizing sponsors and supporters, and reinforcing KCFAA’s value to the community.
  • Monitor social media trends and adapt content to increase visibility, engagement, and audience growth.
Administrative & Asset Management
  • Maintain the marketing calendar and content planning tools.
  • Organize and manage digital assets (photos, videos, graphics).
  • Coordinate with external vendors (designers, printers, photographers) as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or nonprofit work.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms/management, email marketing systems and analytics tools.
  • Experience with Canva or basic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in nonprofit, arts, education, or youth development organizations.
  • Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, events, or donor engagement initiatives.
  • Photography and/or videography editing skills (Canva/Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience with paid social media campaigns and audience targeting.
