Join us in the fight to revolutionize kidney care and support the kidney community
As a member of the Kansas City Advisory Board you will be joining our local team in bringing more awareness to kidney disease through; sharing about NKF, participating in our events, and being a connector. With 37 million Americans at risk for kidney disease, that means 1 in 7 people, and 90% not knowing until the are in kidney failure- we need help to serve our mission and save lives. Expectations of an advisory board member:
Two year, minimum, commitment.
Expectations of an advisory board member:
- Participation in quarterly board meetings (last Monday of Jan, April, July, Oct)
- Participation in NKF events, as your schedule allows (Kidney Walks and/or Great Plates Gala)
- Talk about NKF within your network and connect the Executive Director to potential volunteers and donors/sponsors
- Give/Get of $5,000. Financially support the organization with a minimum $5,000 gift or help secure donors/sponsors to get to $5,000
- Make a personal financial commitment of an amount that is appropriate and meaningful to you.
- Support the Executive Director
- including: at least one annual in person meeting, being responsive to outreach, assist with making connections to advance the NKF mission
What you can expect of the Executive Director
- Monthly board update
- At least, one in person meeting during the year, checkpoints throughout the year
- Assistance via providing resources for any asks related to supporting the NKF (donor, volunteer, etc) as well as attending said meetings
