National Kidney Foundation's Great Plates

The Great Plates Celebration is an event for food enthusiasts who want to enjoy great cuisine while supporting a worthy cause, the National Kidney Foundation. With 35 million people in America living with kidney disease and 90% being unaware until they are in kidney failure; events like Great Plates are funding the mission of the NKF to revolutionize the fight against kidney disease and bring more awareness to the disease with early detection. 

Top chefs from participating restaurants showcase their favorite dishes for guests to sample on event night. Attendees can appreciate the chefs' creative culinary skills as they compete for the prestigious Best Dish and People’s Choice Awards.
 

We are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to:

Check in
Auction assistance (live and silent)
VIP reception attendant
Raffle table workers
Runners (to help clear disposable plates/cups that people leave on tables)
Auction runners (deliver items to check out table for winners to pick up)
Check out (take/confirm payment for auction items)

Event attire is business casual or cocktail. Volunteers are asked to follow the dress code and a pop of orange is always welcome (orange is the organization color).
