Art Curator Volunteer

Offer Valid: 05/07/2024 - 09/27/2024
Assist with The HALO Foundation's growing art collection

The HALO Art Curator Volunteer is responsible for the professional care of The HALO Foundation's growing art collection. HALO's art collection is an eclectic array of artwork from children supported throughout the years to artwork by professional artists who have donated to HALO over the years. This role is needed throughout the summer and early fall of 2024 to support HALO as we move to a new location. The responsibilities and tasks of this volunteer may include:

  • Assist with the design of art for the 3 new buildings, including selection of existing art, placement, and preservation
  • Work on installation from framing work to canvas prints
  • Connecting with local artists to help fill gaps in the space with new pieces or prints
  • Work alongside HALO staff and key volunteers to make a cohesive space filled with art, showing HALO's mission of how art heals
  • Creating best practices for HALO in the future to continue to preserve art
  • Cataloging artwork and assisting with inventory

It would be preferred if the volunteer had a background in art, art history and/or curatorial work.

This Volunteer Opportunity is promoted by Nonprofit Connect.
