Introduction

Summit Future Foundation is a rapidly growing nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of teens and adults who experience developmental disabilities. Through our innovative programs we are assisting those we serve in increasing their personal independence in their home and community, facilitating participation in inclusive social and recreational opportunities, and being valued and included members of our city's workforce. The Development and Outreach coordinator is a crucial part of the organizations mission fulfillment efforts in that effective completion of the responsibilities results in meeting the programatic needs of the organization. 

Development and Outreach Coordinator Role

This role includes overseeing all of the organizations philanthropic and charitable giving including; major events, corporate giving, private donations as well as donor cultivation and stewardship through effective implementation of industry best practices.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for all aspects of philanthropic giving at Summit Future Foundation, including;

  • Oversight and implementation of the organization's Development Plan designed to meet giving targets, including the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of annual, major, corporate and planned gift donors.

  • Building a new donor pipeline to support the advancement of our mission fulfillment efforts.

  • Devise, implement and review new initiatives to increase philanthropic revenue and meet development plan targets.

  • Manage a portfolio of existing donors, ensuring relationships remain strong with the organization.

  • Lead in the planning and implementation of all special events.

  • Work closely with marketing and communications resources to create tangible and digital  materials that assist in developing and maintaining powerful donor relationships.

  • Accurately and timely record information in DonorView regarding contact with all donors and prospects, including research material, engagement and stewardship plans and contact reports.

  • Follow best practices by keeping current with local and national fundraising trends and research in philanthropy.

  • Attend and actively contribute to internal meetings on a regular basis that include event planning meetings, administrative leadership meetings, and monthly board meetings. as requested by the Executive Director or the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

This role requires an experienced professional who is motivated by building connections between corporations and individuals and the mission of Summit Future Foundation. The ideal candidate will lead in moving charitable giving to the next level by deepening donor and prospect engagement with Summit Future Foundation..

Experience working on a successful fundraising team is essential. At the same time, building sustainable relationships with a wide range of donors and key stakeholders will ensure success in this role.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Minimum education of high School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of three (3) years of relatable fundraising experience

  • Competence and experience in utilization of donor management software, DonorView

  • Advanced understanding of basic office applications, including G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Outlook).

  • Mastery of the English language, both verbal and written.

  • Demonstrated track record of accuracy, quality, timeliness, dependability and reliability.

  • Competence and ability to operate a personal computer and telephone.

 

Compensation:

  • Annual Base Salary: $55,000.00

  • Quarterly Performance Bonuses: Up to $8,000 annually

  • Salary Ceiling: $85,000.00 

  • 128 hours of paid time off (80 hours accrual, 48 hours holiday pay).

Salary Range: $50,000 - 74,999
