VCP PROVIDES EXCELLENT BENEFITS!!
Veterans Community Project (VCP) Overview
Founded in 2016 in Kansas City, MO, VCP is dedicated to supporting every man and woman who took the oath to defend our nation. The greatest barrier to ending Veteran homelessness is the revolving door of unstable housing and the frustrating maze Veterans must navigate to get basic support. We believe that to be an effective program, the first step is to connect Veterans and the community. VCP created an innovative homeless housing program and outreach assistance that provides inclusive services to aid Veterans in re-claiming control over their lives.?
The Team
We, the team members and co-founders of VCP, are connectors, feelers, and doers on a mission to help our kin, our kind. We move with swift, bold action, driven by our mission. We believe in collaboration, community, compassion, and above all, serving Veterans with dignity and respect.
The Role
Are you a storyteller who excels at driving results and making an impact? Do you thrive on building messages that cultivate strong relationships and inspire action? Do you enjoy digging into data to see how communications are performing and where they can improve? If you have a background in nonprofit communications and understand how to engage donors through thoughtful, strategic marketing—this role might be for you.
Veterans Community Project is seeking a Donor Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of donor-focused messaging across multiple channels, including email, SMS, direct mail, print materials, stewardship campaigns, and more. You’ll play a key role in bringing our mission to life through engaging, relationship-driven communications that deepen donor engagement in our mission.
You’ll also analyze campaign performance, generate reports, and lead post-campaign reviews to identify what’s working, where we can improve, and how we continue deepening our donor relationships over time.
The ideal candidate brings a deep commitment to VCP's mission, a strong grasp of donor-centric messaging, a data-informed market mindset, and a deadline-driven approach to delivering timely communications. You’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team dedicated to fixing Veteran homelessness and telling the powerful stories of the lives we impact together.
