As a Manager, Development Events, you will play a pivotal role in crafting meaningful experiences that engage donors, build community, and support the museum’s fundraising efforts. What You’ll Do
As the Manager, Development Events, you will:
- Strategically plan and execute three key annual fundraising events (ShuttleCork, C100 Luncheon, and Party Arty) along with select donor cultivation programs and campaign-related initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to produce seamless events, from large-scale fundraisers to intimate donor gatherings.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and maximizing net profit to support the museum’s annual fundraising goal of approximately $2.5 million.
- Work closely with volunteer committees, providing effective communication and fostering strong relationships to drive event success.
- Partner with the Event Planning team to refine processes and ensure efficiency in event logistics, food service planning, and on-site staffing.
- Stay current with trends in event design and production, conducting post-event reviews to identify opportunities for future improvement.

- Proven experience in planning and managing large-scale fundraising events, with expertise in collaborating with volunteer committees.
- Strong fiscal management skills, including the ability to manage expenses and revenue within set budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal teams, external vendors, and high-level donors.
- A passion for event planning, with a track record of delivering impactful, high-quality events.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in event management software and systems is a plus.
What We Offer
Competitive Salary:
- Annual starting range: $ 71,173 - $ 80,092
*The starting salary range for this position spans from the minimum of the grade level to 90% of the midpoint for the grade level. The final salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, and other relevant qualifications.
