Position Summary:

 

Crossroads Charter Schools is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Coordinator provide support to the finance department by handling routine task, maintaining financial reports, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports, assist with company payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant management, create and manage purchase orders and invoicing process, and attend meetings with the team.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

           Payroll 

    • Tracking Payroll deductions
    • Assist with payroll processing including preparing payroll spreadsheets 
    • Customer Service (assist employees as needed) 
    • Maintain accurate records of all payroll liabilities activities.

       Budgeting and Forecasting 

    • Assist with Budget preparation
    • Monitoring expenses
    • Assist with forecasting financial needs 
    • Manage department budgets

 

      Accounts Payable:

    • Process and verify purchase orders and invoices.
    • Ensure timely payment of bills and vendor invoices.
    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
    • Review and reconcile vendor monthly statements

 

            Accounts Receivable:

    • Prepare and send invoices to customers and clients.
    • Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.
    • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
    • Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable activities.

 

         General Financial Duties:

    • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
    • Prepare reports and financial statements as needed.
    • Support audits and compliance requirements related to accounts payable and receivable.
  • Participate in meetings, training and professional development
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating, etc.
  • Act in a professional and ethical manner at all times and comply with school policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance preferred.
  • Proven experience in payroll, accounts payable and receivable roles.
  • Proficient in accounting software, Google Suites (sheets, docs, slides and forms) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
  • Prior experience in an educational or non-profit environment is a plus.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and an ability to keep multiple stakeholder groups, including parents, teachers, staff, volunteers and partners, informed of critical issues, activities and schedules.
