The Alumni and Events Coordinator will have the responsibility of planning and providing implementation, direction, and management for university events that occur on campus or other approved locations around the world. The coordinator collaborates with university partners and external partners to provide seamless event operations, including initial planning stages through post-event and evaluation. They must provide a high level of customer service, enthusiasm, project management, and attention to detail. This position includes frequent interaction with the public, campus partners as well as alumni leaders, donors, vendors, and volunteers. The types of engagement and events this position will help facilitate includes but are not limited to, the following: MuleNation (regional alumni) chapters, volunteer recruitment, fundraising events, recognition and programming, Next Generation Council program, Legacy program, International Alumni engagement, Athletic affinity engagement, and Homecoming. The Alumni and Event Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for volunteer program activities and external events. While working at an event the Alumni and Event coordinator must make independent decisions on behalf of the organization. This position will also supervise and train alumni and events graduate assistants and student workers.
