Forensic Interviewer

To provide developmentally and culturally appropriate and legally defensible forensic interviews of clients in cases of alleged sexual and physical abuse, witness to violent crime and other cases of concern referred to the CPC. Duties include coordinating, recording and documenting interviews of clients; conducting training for professionals and the community on child sexual abuse; preparing written report, providing court testimony, and facilitating multidisciplinary team pre interview staffings and other case review meetings.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct forensic interviews of children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults.
  • Facilitate pre interview multidisciplinary case meetings
  • Prepare written summaries of interviews and other required case documentation
  • Respond to subpoenas and testify when subpoenaed
  • Participate in and/or facilitate case review meetings
  • Assist Family Advocate in determining appropriate referrals for client and family
  • Enter data into the case tracking system/database
  • Ensure adherence to position related grant goals and objectives and maintain statistical records to track outcomes and ensure goals are met
  • Assist in facilitating the intake process when requested
  • Participate in supervision, professional development and on-going training activities
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as requested
  • Participate in fundraising events and activities for the agency

 QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in social work, counseling or related field preferred; in addition to years experience working with abused children and adolescents required. Two years directly related work experience in child abuse investigations or child abuse treatment and experience in forensic interviewing of children or extended forensic evaluations is preferred.

    Salary Range $50,000-$53,000
