Project Manager

The Project Manager, under the guidance of the Regional Program Director, oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programmatic initiatives at Connections to Success (CtS),aligned with the organization’s mission and goals. This role manages Pathways to Success initiatives and leads a 2Gen-focused project serving 138 low-income parents/caregivers and their children per year and other projects in our Kansas City, KS location. The Project Manager ensures program objectives, performance measures, and reporting requirements are met while cultivating strong relationships with staff, participants, and community partners to deliver seamless services.
 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

 
  • Oversee the design, execution, and monitoring of CtS’s 2Gen project, ensuring delivery of services
to 138 families annually
  • Oversee the design, execution and monitoring of CtS’s youth project, ensuring delivery of services
to eligible adjudicated youth
  • Lead program planning, partner coordination, and performance tracking to achieve project goals and outcomes
  • Coordinate participant orientations, PPD training schedules, and other service delivery activities across multiple community locations
  • Oversee referrals and recruitment efforts with the Outreach Coordinator, Crisis Care & Access Specialist, and partner agencies to maintain enrollment goals
  • Collaborate with partners to streamline recruitment, referrals, and service delivery
  • Monitor service delivery for compliance with grant requirements and ensure continuous quality improvement
  • Provide leadership and support to staff to ensure program objectives are met
  • Ensure participants receive trauma-informed, individualized support through assessment, goal- setting, and life planning
  • Oversee referral pathways for family support services, including housing, mental health, child support, education, vocational training, and employment placement
  • Support ongoing participant engagement through programming such as CONNECT, Professional
Women’s Group, and Career Connect
  • Implement rigorous data collection and evaluation systems, ensuring baseline and follow-up assessments are completed accurately
  • Collaborate with the Data Manager and partners to track progress toward performance measures, generate reports for funders, and facilitate quarterly partner reviews
  • Provide leadership, training, and support for program staff, ensuring consistent delivery of high- quality services
  • Cultivate partnerships with community organizations to expand outreach, enhance family support services, and promote CtS programs
  • Support staff recruitment, training, and professional development efforts
  • Complete reports, summaries, and grant documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and uphold compliance standards
  • Promote CtS to potential employers, volunteers, donors, and community stakeholders
 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred, or equivalent experience
(minimum of 4 years in a related field)
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management, community-based programming, or case management
  • Proven ability to lead multi-partner collaborations and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Experience working with re-entry populations, opportunity youth, and families; nonprofit, workforce development, or social services experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and public speaking
  • Skilled in tracking, analyzing, and reporting program data for evaluation and continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches, family services, and workforce development best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, as well as standard office equipment
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and within correctional facilities when needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
 

Relationships:

 
Reports to: Regional Program Director
Supervise: Life Transformation Coaches, Job Developer/Education Specialist, and other staff as needed
Internal Relationships: All CtS staff
External Relationships: Potential participants, volunteers, mentors, employers, guest speakers, partner organizations, referring agencies, community organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions
 

Additional Information:

This position is full-time, salaried exempt position. Employee will be eligible for full benefits including health, retirement, and vacation benefits on the first of the month following hire date. We invite potential candidates with incarceration/ criminal justice system history to apply.

Starting Salary Range:

$57,000-$60,000, contingent on qualifications and experience
