This advocacy includes assisting ACS staff by promoting program priorities and informing the public about ACS organizational priorities. Board of Directors / Board Committee Member

More than 90% of the Red Cross' workforce is comprised of volunteers - and that starts with our Chapter Board of Directors. Our local board of directors work together to support community initiatives supporting the work of our teams delivering services to those affected by disasters; our military veterans, service members and their families; individuals seeking lifesaving training like CPR/First Aid and home fire safety education. We invite you to be a voice for YOUR community and join our Mission!

Board of Trustees Opportunity

Board of Trustees opportunity at Elmwood, one of KC’s oldest cemeteries, in continuous operation since 1872. While we do everything you’d expect of a cemetery, we are also positioning Elmwood as a vibrant park and arboretum, providing 43 acres of rolling green space to the Northeast KC neighborhoods surrounding Truman Road. Our chapel is in demand for weddings, funerals and other special occasions. And we are a uniquely qualified resource for historical and genealogical research for our great city.
