RESPONSIBILITIES
The Coaching and Resource Coordinator oversees and supports the team of contracted coaches in the successful delivery of the ProX summer internship program. Reporting to the Director of Internship Experience, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that coaches are equipped with the tools, resources, and guidance necessary to deliver high-quality, transformative experiences for students. The Coordinator will also access community resources and partnerships to ensure student success by providing holistic and student-centered resources. 
 
Specific Responsibilities include: 
 
  • Establish and maintain a master calendar, and a resource repository of coaching leadership, onboarding plans, and other essential resources to enhance the quality of the internships and student experience.
  • Annually recruit, contract, and onboard ProX Coaches.
  • Train, supervise, and support coaches to use program management and delivery tools.
  • Collaborate with coaches and staff to develop onboarding plans and resources that enhance the quality of internships and student experiences.
  • Coordinate training and development opportunities for coaches to enhance their skills and knowledge in relevant areas, e.g., coaching techniques, diversity awareness, and program management.
  • Support and maintain a process for matching students with summer experiences in a way that creates efficiency for internship coaches.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks to support internship coaching success, i.e., developing contingency plans for unexpected challenges.
  • Develop tools and use these to regularly evaluate coaches’ performance.
  • Work with coaches to identify and connect them with relevant resources, ensuring their needs are met throughout the internship experience.
  • Partner with community organizations, nonprofits, and other service providers to expand ProX’s resource network and increase student access to services that enhance their workplace experiences.
  • Develop best practices that support student professional development.
  • Mediate conflicts and address issues that may arise among program staff, interns, coaches, or other stakeholders, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research-based practices and processes aligned with DOL and DESE standards.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and government agencies to enhance program offerings and opportunities for interns.
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
 
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or years of experience in the field of education or non-profit leadership.
 
Work Experience: At least two years’ experience in program management, coaching, youth development, and/or education. 
 
Travel: This position may require routine business travel within the Kansas City region.

  • Possesses computer literacy skills, including proficiency with Microsoft tools, Box, Slack, and social media.
