Portfolio Manager, Community Partnerships
Community Capital Fund (CCF) is a Community Development nonprofit that provides grants, technical assistance, and coaching to support under resourced neighborhoods and projects in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area, helping to advance Asset Based Community Development and increase financial, human, and social capital.
This role will serve on the Fiscal Sponsorship team, helping to run, strengthen, and further develop CCF’s Fiscal Sponsorship Practice. Fiscal sponsorship is a nonprofit model that allows grassroots leaders, social ventures, and emerging organizations to carry out charitable work under the legal and administrative umbrella of an established 501(c)(3). Through this structure, CCF provides operational infrastructure, financial management, compliance oversight, and organizational development support to projects. CCF maintains a dedicated fiscal sponsorship practice that currently supports more than 30 projects, primarily women and/or minority led, which have collectively raised more than $6 million in grant capital.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Portfolio Manager, Community Projects plays a key role in advancing the mission of CCF by independently managing a portfolio of fiscally sponsored projects. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with project leaders, coordinating nonprofit development opportunities, supporting financial processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
In collaboration with the broader fiscal sponsorship team, the role will also contribute to the development and implementation of practice-wide initiatives that support organizational goals and respond to emerging community needs. While this role does not lead the overall direction of the fiscal sponsorship practice, it requires strong strategic thinking and business acumen to support a growing and dynamic portfolio.
