Our Mission:
The Northland Symphony Orchestra Association enriches our community through free, high-quality orchestral performances that unite professional and community musicians, while also providing educational opportunities for all.


The Operations Committee supports the orchestra by ensuring that its administrative and production systems function smoothly and effectively. The committee provides guidance and oversight related to organizational policies, facilities, personnel practices, and performance logistics, helping the orchestra operate efficiently and sustainably.

Committee Responsibilities

  • Review and recommend operational policies and procedures.

  • Support planning and coordination of fundraiser, concert, and rehearsal operations.

  • Provide oversight and guidance on facilities, equipment, and vendor relationships.

  • Assist with risk management, safety, and insurance matters.

  • Support human resources practices, including volunteer engagement and musician/contractor processes.

  • Help identify operational improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Serve as a resource to staff for operational challenges as requested.
