The American Cancer Society's Kansas City Chairman’s Circle (CC) is intended to provide a diverse executive leadership forum for advancing the our life-saving mission. This advocacy includes assisting ACS staff by promoting program priorities and informing the public about ACS organizational priorities. Chairman’s Circle members will be asked to assist by advancing mission priorities, securing financial support, recognizing key contributors and building relationships with community leaders.

Camps For Kids, a nonprofit working to ensure that Kansas City-area children have the opportunity to attend summer camp regardless of disability or financial disadvantage, seeks passionate people to join their Board. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are appointed by the judges in each county to advocate for the best interests of a child in foster care. CASAs meet with the child or children on a regular basis, consult with professionals, including the foster care workers, attorneys, and schools, as well as gather information from family members and foster placements. CASAs spend an average of 10-12 hours per month on their assigned case.

Since the Folly reopened in 1981, the Grand Lady of Twelfth Street has relied on dedicated volunteers to give their time and keep her shining. Today the Folly hosts over 100 performances a year and the demand for volunteers, both in the theater and the office, is higher than ever.
